Our Rooms

Room 1 is set up based on the children’s interests and development, allowing the children to express themselves socially and independently through a variety of exciting and engaging activities, encouraging them to make their own choices and explore their environment.

We understand that within this age group the children become more socially responsible and are starting to form and sustain friendships for longer periods. Experiences and play spaces are set out to encourage and support this.

In room 1 the children are becoming more independent and are working on their self-help skills. The flexible routine is embedded with opportunities for the children to develop solid self-help skills including putting on and taking off their clothes, washing their hands before mealtimes and packing up after finishing play and using face washers to clean their faces after meal times.

The children in this age group are offered challenging yet achievable experiences to ensure that they are always achieving their full potential whilst feeling safe and secure.

In the 3 year old kinder room our emphasis is on developing children’s independence as they start to gain greater understanding of themselves, building their confidence and empowering them as individuals.

Educators nurture the children’s social and emotional development to enhance their well-being, and trust. They talk to children about how their friends are thinking and feeling, to encourage empathy, and care for others. Self-help skills, and the promotion of independence are a big part of the programs and routines. Educators see children as being capable, creative, curious, and eager to learn. Children are encouraged to develop thinking skills through activities such as reading, drawing, construction, dramatic play, art and craft.
Our programs are enriched by regular educational fun incursions and excursions.

Our 3 year old Kinder program is the perfect balance between flexible and structured to ensure that we are beginning preparations for school readiness whilst still allowing them to be children.

We encourage our children to become independent thinkers and learners, to enable them to navigate their environment and develop autonomy, examples include confidently attempting tasks like following instructions, making choices and engaging in social interactions with their peers and adults. Over time they become more self-resilient, showing increased problem-solving abilities and pride in their accomplishments, thereby developing their self-esteem and confidence.

We support children to take risks in a safe way to extend their abilities and contribute to their self-esteem.
We take a holistic approach to School readiness, ensuring that we are sending off to school independent, confident capable children who foster a strong sense of self and a love for learning.

We help our children to transition to formal schooling by familiarising them with routines, structure, and expectations commonly found in schools and beyond.
